Helldivers 2 Circuit Expansion: Check Compatibility Before Upgrading

Before buying Circuit Expansion for an arc-focused loadout, establish which equipment the current module description actually covers. Our former article claimed specific extra chains for the Blitzer and a fixed safe firing angle without sufficient evidence. Those statements have been removed.

What is and is not verified here

We have not verified a current primary-source tooltip listing Circuit Expansion’s exact cost, department and every affected item. This page therefore does not reproduce an old numerical chart as current fact. A weapon’s electricity theme alone is not proof that a ship module applies to it.

A compatibility check with a useful outcome

Check How it affects the decision
Your current module description Read the stated effect and equipment scope, including prerequisites.
Exact item name Do not substitute a primary weapon for a similarly themed stratagem.
Item you actually equip A compatible upgrade has little immediate use if the affected item is absent from your loadout.
Available resources Compare the requirements with your other planned upgrades.

Compare with an alternative upgrade

Write Circuit Expansion and one other available upgrade in the purchase worksheet. If the alternative benefits a regularly used item while Circuit’s relevance remains unclear, there is no need to spend first and investigate afterward. Waiting preserves the option to make an informed choice.

If you want to investigate an interaction

Record the version, module ownership, exact weapon and situation. Separate direct hits from any visible secondary effects. Repeated observations with different targets or other players dealing damage do not establish a clean before-and-after comparison. We have no controlled results to publish for the Blitzer or a complete interaction list.

Squad safety

Do not rely on a claimed 45-degree angle to make a weapon safe around teammates. Agree firing lanes and stop firing when teammates move into the uncertain area. The official co-op overview emphasizes team preparation and acknowledges friendly fire; it does not validate the removed angle claim.
